CONNECTING YOU TO FAMILIES IN NEED

CarePortal is an online platform that brings the real-time needs of hurting children and families in the Indianapolis area to our attention.

Department of Child Services caseworkers uncover critical material needs of the families with whom they work. Then, CarePortal makes local churches who have signed up, including Rise Church, aware of these needs and provides the opportunity to respond.

What happens after I sign up? You will receive an e-mail notification from a Rise Church CarePortal Team Leader who will activate your request to join the team.

Once activated, you will receive information about ways to assist local families in need. As a member of the Response Team, you may respond to as many or as few requests as you’d like.

How may I give to the Rise Church CarePortal fund? Anyone can contribute to the Rise Church CarePortal ministry. All donated funds are considered tax-deductible. The funds will be used to meet the needs of vulnerable children in our community. There are two ways to give:

Contribute to the Rise Church CarePortal fund through Tithe.ly by clicking “Give through Tithe.ly” below to reach the "Care Portal Ministry" in the drop-down menu.

How can I donate items? The most helpful items to donate are: $25 grocery gift cards (Kroger, Walmart, etc.), twin sheet sets, full sheet sets, twin and full comforter sets, toddler beds, toddler mattresses, twin and full size mattress protectors, dressers, and new unexpired clean car seats (infant, booster, convertible).

If you have items to donate, give them to a CarePortal Team member or contact the Team Leaders listed below.

What if I want to review open requests? Click on the “VIEW OPEN REQUESTS” button. You will be directed to the Rise Church CarePortal landing page where you may review all open requests for assistance.
